The Integral Mathematical Science Lab, launched in April 2025, explores mathematical structures and universal laws underlying complex systems through an interdisciplinary perspective that spans physics, biology, and information science. We utilize model-independent mathematical concepts such as "symmetry" and "topology" to capture the essential nature common to seemingly diverse phenomena.
The Integral Mathematical Science Laboratory is looking for motivated graduate students. You can join the lab through either the Master's and Doctoral Programs in Intelligent and Mechanical Interaction Systems or the Doctoral Program in Empowerment Informatics. If you're interested or just curious, feel free to contact Hirono.
