I am a development economist with interests in political economy, labor, gender, and behavioral economics. I use a wide range of research methods from natural experiments and RCTs, to qualitative data analysis and machine learning. Most of my work is in South Asia and MENA countries.

One strand of my research examines impacts of inclusion and diversity in local institutions on rural economic and political outcomes. A second strand explores barriers and solutions to women and youth labor market participation. A third strand explores bureaucratic motivation, behavior, and service delivery.
