The micro:bit offers lots of possibilities for a wide range of activities. But it is not always easy to get all the additional material. Well, fortunately, it is not necessary for every project to have servos, LEDs and buttons. You can already do interesting things with just the micro:bit. That's what we offer here: Some small projects which can be realised with a micro:bit and some everyday materials such as cardboard and aluminium foil. Program a dice? Your own little robot who greets you when you come home? Or a table piano? All possible.
Just as with our other projects we also created a set of challenge cards for our small projects (currently only available in German). Seven basic challenges show in the familiar design, what possibilities the micro:bit can offer. Afterwards, five little projects are presented in varying levels of difficulty. The projects start with three confronting questions. This is followed by a code that can be recreated. The last page proposes additional challenges which should promote further thinking. There are proposals for solutions at the end of the booklet.
These challenge cards are suitable for beginners with the micro:bit as well as for advanced users who look for additional ideas. The projects can be built alone at home or can be used as an activity in the classroom.
Note: For some of the tasks the new micro:bit V2 is needed as it contains additional features (such as a microphone and a speaker).
Here you can see a snippet of the challenge cards (at the moment only available in German). The third project is shown, your own little robot.
