Tunnel: The Imago Dei Experience set forth a vision to encourage the Lee University community to Celebrate the “Mosaic” that exists on campus and further seek to highlight the extent of the beauty of the Image of God. Working in conjunction with the Office of Racial & Ethnic Relations, Imago Dei Group, and Diversity Council, the goal of this event was to create an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty, to come together, engage in critical conversations, and hear from one another as they celebrate aspects of their culture that speak to the idea of the Imago Dei. Our hope is that the event provided a place for our students to celebrate, reflect, and consider what it looks like to take personal ownership in the continued flourishing of diverse voices amid difficult conversations.
Participants has the opportunity to rotate in small groups through each of the rooms that have been created by student and staff content developers from Imago Dei, Residential Life & Housing, and various campus involvements.
Based on the content discussed in the videos from this year's seasons of Imago Dei, each experience provided participants with the opportunity to further work through these critical topics.
