Imaging Systems Lab

We are affiliated to the Department of Electrical Engineering under Electrical Sciences Division of Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India.

We are currently focused on the following research themes:

• Development of new reconstruction methods for existing biological and medical imaging systems with emphasis on maintaining the resolution in presence of high level of noise.
• Design of new biological and medical imaging systems and associated reconstruction methods with emphasis on reducing illumination/radiation dose by using compressive sensing framework.

Oriented towards these themes, our specific research projects involve modeling of optical systems, application-specific design of energy functionals for noise suppression and/or lost signal recovery, development of new large scale optimization algorithms.
