Call for Papers

We cordially invite researchers to submit papers to the IMAGINE-RS: 1st Workshop on Interactive Multimodal Analysis and Geospatial Intelligence for Remote Sensing at ICMI 2025. This workshop explores the integration of urban interactions, human-computer interaction (HCI), multimodal AI, and explainable AI (XAI) in remote sensing applications, aiming to bridge the gap between geospatial intelligence and human-centered decision-making. 

We welcome submissions on (but not limited to) the following topics:

• Urban Interaction

• Multimodal HCI for Remote Sensing

• Explainability in Multimodal Remote Sensing

• Digital Twin

• Conversational AI for Geospatial Analysis

• Multimodal sensing and navigation for IoV

• Augmented and Virtual Reality for Remote Sensing Image

• Interpretation and Exploration

• Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) in Remote Sensing Decision-Making, Smart Farming

• Safety, Trust, and Explainability in HCI-IoV Systems

• Human-AI Collaboration in Earth Observation

• Interpretation from Foundation Models for Remote Sensing

• Bridging humans and earth for better understanding (interfacing)

• Augmented Sociality

Submission guidelines:

• We accept submissions of 4 pages (short papers) and max 8 pages (long papers) (excluding references). We encourage authors to submit 4 page work as well.

• Submitted manuscript should follow the ICMI 2025 paper template. Submissions will be rejected without review if they:

  • • Contain more than 8 pages (excluding references).

    • Violate the double-blind policy.

    • Papers will be peer reviewed under double-blind policy, and must be submitted online through the https://hotcrp.com/ submission system.

Important Dates:

• Workshop paper submission deadline: 15 July, 2025

• Notification to authors: 10 August, 2025

• Camera-ready deadline: 20 August, 2025
