This Privacy Policy explains how the PDF Scanner: Image to PDF app ("the App," "we," "our") handles information when you use our application.
We built this App to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos, documents, or PDF files to any server. Everything you convert stays on your phone unless you choose to share or print it yourself.
Why we need it: If you choose to capture a photo directly within the App (instead of picking an existing image) to convert it into a PDF, we request access to your device camera.
The camera is only accessed when you actively tap the capture/scan button.
Photos taken are used solely to generate the PDF you requested.
We do not access the camera in the background, and we do not collect or transmit any images captured.
Why we need it: To let you select existing images from your device gallery to convert into a PDF, and to save the resulting PDF file back to your device storage.
We only access the specific photos you select — we do not scan, index, or upload your entire photo library.
Generated PDF files are saved locally to your device's storage (e.g., Documents/Files folder) so you can find, share, or print them later.
We do not transmit your photos or PDFs to any external server, cloud service, or third party.
We do not collect:
Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Your photos, scanned documents, or generated PDF files
Location data
Contacts or call logs
Because your images and PDFs are processed and stored entirely on your device, we have nothing to share with third parties. If you use the Share or Print features within the App, the file is passed directly to the app or service you choose (e.g., email, messaging app, printer) — that transfer is controlled by you and governed by that third-party app's own privacy policy.
This App may use standard Android system services (such as the OS file picker and camera intent) to perform its core function. These are Android system components and are not operated by us.
If the App displays advertisements or uses analytics tools, those providers may collect data as described in their own privacy policies. (Remove this section if your app has no ads/analytics, or replace with the specific SDK name — e.g., Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics — if it does.)
This App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Since files are stored only on your device, you control retention entirely. Deleting a PDF or photo from within the App or your device's file manager permanently removes it. Uninstalling the App removes all app-associated data.
You can revoke Camera or Storage/Photos permissions at any time via: Android Settings → Apps → PDF Scanner: Image to PDF → Permissions
Revoking permissions may limit certain features (e.g., you won't be able to capture new photos or select images) but will not affect PDFs already saved to your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
