ALL INDIA DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST AND PRINT EXHIBITION 

SALON NOTIFICATION

      Image, an Association of Creative Photographers, founded in 1969, has been organizing an Annual Exhibition of the photos of its members every year and an All India Salon (Contest and exhibition) every five years.  This year the event named IMAGES   2024 will be organized as an ALL INDIA SALON with a contest of digital entries and an exhibition of the enlarged prints of entries selected by the jury.

1. SALON CALENDAR:

Last date for receipt of entries: December 31, 2024

Notification of Accepted Entries: January 10, 2025

Exhibition of Accepted Entries: January 24, 25 & 26, 2025

Return of Exhibits (with certificates):  By Feb. 28, 2025

2.  ELIGIBILITY: The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers who are residents of India.

3. CATEGORIES:

(1) Nature

(2) Pictorial

(3) Travel

(4) Street 

4. PRIZES:

First Prize: Rs. 5000/- + Medal + Certificate

Second Prize: Rs. 3000/- + Medal + Certificate

Third Prize: Rs. 2000/- + Medal + Certificate

(Total prizes in cash alone will be Rs.40,000/-)

Besides, all accepted entries will receive Certificates of Acceptance.

5. JURY MEMBERS:

6. Each entrant can send a maximum of four digital photos taken by himself/herself under each category (total 16 photos). Each entry will have to be of a resolution between one MB (1MB) and two MB (2MB) with an aspect ratio of 2X3. Before uploading the photos, the photo should be renamed in the format <CATEGORY NAME-TITLE> (For example, let's say the name of the category you are contesting is "Nature" and title you have chosen for the photo is "forest", the photo should be renamed as Nature-forest)

7. The entry fee for each category will be Rs. 150/- (a concessional rate of Rs. 500/- for those entering all the four categories). The entry fee must be paid through either of the two methods given below:

(a) To Google pay the amount to mobile number 9447736922 and send a screenshot of the payment to the same number by WhatsApp together with name and phone number.

(b) Transfer the amount through NEFT/IMPS to:

and send the screenshot of the payment to 9447736922 by WhatsApp or messaging together with name and phone number of the entrant.

(Entries for which entry fee is not received on or before 31-12-2024 will be rejected)

8. The accepted entries will have to be submitted in a resolution that is sufficient for enlarging to 12” X 18” in size. These will be enlarged and displayed by Image provided that the entrant pays Rs.250/- for each print.  The exhibitor can come on any day after the exhibition to take his/her print back together with the Certificates of Acceptance, and other awards and certificates, if any. 

9. A digital souvenir will be prepared and sent to each entrant in a printable resolution.

10. Submitted photos (entries) must be the original work of the participant/entrant and must have no identifying marks or key words allocated to them. No borders, watermarks or signatures should be included on the image.

11. In the Pictorial category, slight post-production modifications are allowed, without sacrificing the essence, integrity and genuineness of the subject matter.  Entries in all other categories should be free from any substantial editing (except basic editing like increasing or decreasing contrast, brightness, saturation etc.) that may change the content of the photo in any way.  The limit of allowable modifications will be subject to the discretion of the jury members.

12. The entrant must not have breached any laws of the Republic of India when taking their photographs.

13. For uploading the photos, please click the Agree button given below and fill in the personal details in the next screen, please make sure to enter the payment particulars before uploading.

14.  Only after clicking the Agree button and entering the data in the next screen can the photo be uploaded.  Please make sure to disable popups in your browser.
