Our research group focusses on mental health and related disorders. We use behavioural and neuroimaging experimental paradigms to investigate both underlying mechanisms and treatment responses.
IMAGE Otago is supervised by Bruce and Olivia (co-principal investigators), supported by Faye and Nikki, and has close to 15 postgraduate students studying various aspects of mental health!
Bruce's work primarily focusses on severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, addiction and depression, with an emphasis on treatment-resistance.
Olivia's work focusses on disorders such as anxiety and depression, with an emphasis on how body perception may both propagate symptoms and be targeted for treatments. To find out more about what our students do click the 'About Us' tab!
