Recently, we were privileged to attend the Tūmahi Whiti Makutu Kairangahau Wānanga at Papakura Marae, organised by the inspiring Iwi United Engaged. Tangata Tiriti Kairangahau, Tangata Whenua, and Tangata Moana united at this Wānanga, with the shared goal of achieving “Pae Ora”, the advancement and improvement of health and wellbeing outcomes for Māori communities. This Wānanga reinforced that community engagement and authentic partnership are the way forward towards achieving equitable and lasting improvements in health and wellbeing.
Ngā mihi nui Iwi United Engaged for organising this Wānanga! We are very grateful that we had the opportunity to attend and learn from the local community.
