In short: This extension does not collect, store, sell, or share your personal data. Everything runs locally in your browser. The only time any data leaves your device is when the optional "Use proxy" setting is turned on, as explained in section 3.
Image Downloader & Zipper lets you paste a list of image URLs, downloads those images, sorts them into folders, and packages everything into a single ZIP file that is saved to your computer.
We do not collect any data. Specifically, the extension:
does not collect personal information, account details, or contact information;
does not track your browsing history, the pages you visit, or your activity on any website;
does not read, modify, or inject anything into web pages you browse;
does not use analytics, advertising, cookies, or tracking of any kind;
does not send any data to the developer or to any server operated by the developer.
The URLs you paste, the images downloaded, and the ZIP file created are processed entirely inside your browser and are never uploaded to the developer.
Some websites block direct downloads. The extension has a setting called "Use proxy for sites that block direct downloads". When this setting is enabled and a direct download fails, the URL of the image being downloaded may be sent to one of these third-party image proxy services so the image can be retrieved:

api.codetabs.com
Only the image URL is sent, and only for the purpose of downloading that image. Like any web request, these services can see your IP address. These services are independent of this extension and are governed by their own privacy policies. If you do not want this, turn the proxy setting off and the extension will only download images directly.

Why it is needed
Access to all websites (<all_urls>)
You can paste image links from many different websites and CDNs. This permission lets the extension download those images directly so they can be added to the ZIP file. It is not used to read or change the pages you browse.
All code, including the JSZip library used to create ZIP files, is bundled inside the extension. The extension does not load or run any externally hosted code.
The extension does not store any data. Nothing is saved between sessions. Closing the extension tab clears everything it was holding. The ZIP file is saved only to the location you choose on your own device.
We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer user data to any third party, and we do not use data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose of downloading and zipping images.
This extension does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
