Image Converter processes images locally in the user's browser. The extension does not upload images to an external server and does not collect, sell, or transfer personal information, browsing history, user activity, or image content.
## Local image processing
Images added from the user's device or clipboard are held only as needed in the extension page and are processed with browser Canvas APIs. Converted files are saved only after the user starts a conversion.
## Optional webpage image access
Local file conversion works without website access. If the user enables web-image conversion, Chrome grants optional access to HTTP and HTTPS resources. The extension uses that access only to fetch an image that the user explicitly right-clicks or drags into the side panel for local conversion.
The extension does not read general page content, monitor browsing history, modify websites, or send selected images to an external server. The user can revoke website access at any time from the extension settings or Chrome's extension settings.
## Stored preferences
Chrome storage is used only for preferences such as output format, quality, and batch resize preset. Image content is not stored in Chrome extension storage.
## Downloads
The downloads permission is used only to save a converted image or ZIP file after a user action.
## Remote code and analytics
The extension does not execute remotely hosted code and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.
## Changes
This policy may be updated when the extension's behavior changes. The latest version will be linked from the Chrome Web Store listing.
