With the mission to enable innovative research in plant biotechnology, the Centre for Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (CPMB&B) was laid on 1990 by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India. The Centre has advanced facilities and experienced researchers to carry out research and training in genetic and genome engineering, molecular m a r k e r s , m o l e c u l a r e c o l o g y , bioprospecting, plant tissue culture and bioinformatics research.
