Mission and Vision

Illinois Partners for Teacher Leadership is a nonprofit entity dedicated to advancing teacher leadership through professional learning,  advocacy, and community engagement. 

Our mission is to raise the visibility, voice, and impact of teachers leading inside and outside the classroom to advance learning for all students.  

We do this through our work to:

• Support educators to take on leadership roles, enhance their skills, and drive positive change within the education system.

• Deliver a platform for educators to be change agents in the policies, procedures, curriculum, and mission of the field of education.

• Advocate for collaboration among administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders in important decision-making spaces.

• Support opportunities for teachers to use their leadership skills to advance student achievement within the larger educational community.
