Illegal Pool Party is a four-piece alternative rock band based in Peterborough, blending elements of shoegaze, grunge, and raw, melodic lyricism. With influences ranging from Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana to Wunderhorse, the band delivers a sound that’s both nostalgic and forward pushing, gritty, loud, and emotionally charged.

Formed in 2025, the band made its live debut at The Ostrich in Peterborough to a packed room and an enthusiastic response. While new as a unit, the members bring years of experience from the live circuits of Peterborough, Stamford, and London, having played in various projects and carved out reputations as seasoned performers.

Illegal Pool Party’s music fuses ripping guitar solos with dynamic vocals and a rhythm section that hits hard and heavy. Their live shows aim to get people moving with high-energy performances, tight musicianship, and songs that stay with you long after the last chord.
