Lacemakers and Collectors Exchange

L.A.C.E. is a non-profit organization for all those who are delighted by the multiple facets of lace. Its purpose is to promote interest in study, history, collection and instruction in the making of all varieties of lace for its members and the general public.

The Lacemakers and Collectors Exchange is a group of people who love lace in all forms.  We meet monthly January through November at the Elmhurst Memorial Library in Elmhurst, Illinois at which we regularly have classes on various forms of lace.  We also do demonstrations and offer classes at libraries, county fairs, and other events.  Once a year we sponsor a two-day lace class on a specific form of lace.  Currently we have members who work bobbin lace, various forms of needlelace including OYA and Armenian knot lace, Teneriffe, knit lace, and tatting.
