Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Condensed Matter and Quantum Materials
Bar-Ilan University, Israel
The Theory Group for Non-Equilibrium Quantum Materials at Bar-Ilan University, led by Dr. Iliya Esin, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical condensed matter physics and quantum materials.
Our research focuses on understanding and controlling exotic quantum phases that arise when materials are driven far from equilibrium. Topics of interest include quantum condensed matter theory, topological and strongly correlated phases, many-body dynamics, low-dimensional materials such as graphene, light-matter interactions, plasmonics, quantum field theory, and quantum information science.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with theoretical and experimental groups within BIU’s Department of Physics, as well as with the Bar-Ilan Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (BINA).
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field, completed by the start date.
Candidates must be within four years of receiving their Ph.D.
Application instructions:
Please send a single PDF file including:
Curriculum vitae
List of publications
A brief research statement (up to two pages) outlining past work and future research interests
Contact information for three references
Applications should be sent to Dr. Iliya Esin at iliya.esin@biu.ac.il.
The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years, subject to performance and funding availability. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
