According to WHO data, 300 million people suffer from depression every year. At its worst, depression leads to suicide. Close to 800,000 people die due to suicide every year. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in 15 – 29 year old.

All of this because of a feeling of helplessness, of feeling alone. 

At I Listen U, we strongly feel for all those who are going through this or similar unpleasant experiences in their life.  We can reduce the levels of depression by a very simple act – Listening. A lot of times, we find it difficult to express ourself, even to our near and dear ones. In this situation, simply pouring your heart out to a stranger, who’s only there to listen to you, can help immensely.

We provide a platform for a safe expression of your story, your pain. Our team of volunteer listeners is specially trained using various skill building and emotional intelligence exercises to expand their inner silence and serve as a true self reflection mirror to the person speaking to them. When you are in the presence of any of our listeners, you will automatically start feeling safe and calm, finding it easy to express all that you are feeling.

Expressing yourself can help you gain clarity of thoughts you need for a situation you are experiencing in your life. Talking to our listeners will feel like putting up all your facts on a whiteboard where you will be able to clearly see the connections and join the dots for the way forward!
