02/18/25 Congratulations to Dave Wells, my former student, and his deal.II team for receiving the 2025 SIAM/ACM Prize in Computational Science and Engineering, which is a tremendous honor. I'm so proud of him. Congratulations, Dave!
01/23/25 My interview on the "Accurate ROMs for Industrial Applications (ARIA)" project. This EU program funded the long term visits of several international collaborators: Francesco Ballarin (Brescia, Italy), Maria Strazzullo (Turin, Italy), Birgul Koc (Seville, Spain), Anna Sanfilippo (Trento, Italy). I am very grateful for the wonderful collaborations started during the ARIA project.

07/19/24 It was great catching up with Birgul, my former student who is a postdoc at the University of Seville. We both attended the 9th European Congress of Mathematics in Seville. Great conference and wonderful city.
05/01/24 Will Snyder, the student I have been co-advising with Raffaella De Vita (Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics), had successfully defended his PhD dissertation today. Will has done very good work on reduced order modeling and machine learning for computational modeling of maternal health applications. I'm very proud of him!
04/30/23 Ian and Dylan defended their MS theses. I'm very proud of them.
04/14/22 Birgul's visited me for more than a month. It has been great to see her again! We did some good research and we almost finished a new paper. Good luck Birgul in your new postdoc in Bordeaux!
08/16/21 Changhong is moving to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, so today we met for one more time at ICAM. Have a good trip to Madison and please come back to visit us, Changhong. You're always welcome!
05/15/21 With Birgul Koc (left) and Changhong Mou (right) at the Duck Pond. Both Birgul and Changhong successfully defended this semester. Birgul is moving to the University of Seville (Spain) to work in Prof. Rebollo's group. Changhong is moving to the University of Wisconsin-Madison to work in Prof. Chen's group. Congrats to both! I'm happy for them, but sad to see them go.
