Chapter 1

 Hat&Hatter Arc - Introduction

- BATTLEGROUNDS -

In a deserted land, filled with evil, attacking innocent people with their powers, there was one person walking around. This person was looking for these types of people, he gets quests where if you eliminate a certain amount of Evil guys also known as "Rogues" you would get a reward, mostly money. He was a hunter, he had a high rank and was really powerful. His name was Hat, he had a black hat, baggy black pants, a black sweatshirt and black gloves.

"Hmmm look at that! a little group of rogues, probably like 10 of them." Hat said with excitement.

In this world, there is something called an "Ability." An ability is the main power of a user; it can be obtained by birth or, more commonly, by training. What you train can be converted to an ability because it becomes your specialty. Normally you have one since it takes a lot of energy to maintain two, but that doesn't mean you can only have one. There are certain abilities that are more useful than others, so pick one that suits you and that's useful for you. Speaking of abilities, Hat's ability is speed. And Hat really likes his ability!

Hat prepares his running position. "Here. I. Go!"

As fast as the speed of sound, Hat gets to the rogues quickly, and with a single punch to the head, he kills the first one. The rest of the rogues were caught off guard, and seeing their pal on the floor, they all prepared for combat. Hat then appeared in front of the rest of the rogues, standing a few feet away from them.

"What? Already scared?" Hat said, mocking them.

"You're dead." Said one of the rogues, completly enraged.

"Let's see you try." Hat said mockingly.

"AAAAAARG!!!!!" The rogue launched himself at Hat with knifes in his hands, he threw a bunch of them but Hat easily dodged them and got behind the rogue. "Hello!" Hat said as he knocked the rogue out and was about to kill him but 3 more rogues came to the rescue. Hat quickly got out of the way as the rogues attempted to kill him by using their attacks. As some chaos errupted, they managed to kill some of their group. Hat watched from a safe distance, these guys were stupid for sure!

Attacks are basically the main thing a person has. There are Basic Attacks, Main Attacks, Special Attacks, and a few more. These attacks are made with negative energy except for basic ones. -E (negative energy) deals more damage. Attacks can be created with +E (positive energy); it's just that +E is more for defense. Basic attacks are any punch, kick, etc., that don't release -E and instead stay on the body, dealing heavier damage; main attacks release the -E and are more destructive, and special attacks are filled with the attack's pure main energy, so they can be +E or -E too. You can summon an attack by making a hand sign that belongs to that certain attack; once you do that, you channel the -E or +E that the attack requires, and that's it. To make an attack, you would need to first make the hand sign that would belong to the attack and, second, imagine the shape of your attack while using the +E or -E, and with that energy the attack's form will take shape and appear on your hand (the destructive capabilities of the attack depend on the training or how much energy you pour into it). You can only have 2 MAs (main attacks) and 1 SA (special attack), but a user could have more if they had enough energy to sustain more.

Once things 'calmed down,' he prepared his own attack, Slash.

"Catch!" Hat said as he released one of his main attacks, aiming for them.

A black 'V' shaped object was launched with incredible speed, it hit a rogue on the head and exploded violently!

There was no trace of the rogue except some thick black smoke, and before other rogues could even react, more Slashes were summoned! One by one, each rogue was killed, and, after some seconds, Hat had won.

"Oh man, can't wait for the money!" Hat said with a happy tone.

After completing the quest, Hat went to a town where they rewarded hunters for their quests. Quests are valuable; the most rewarding are the Rogue Quests, which are some of the hardest ones. Rogue Quests can be modified. If you have a 5-rogue quest, for example, and you want just a bit more money, you can get more rogues!

 "Take these 2 quests of 5R (Rogues) and 2 of 10R." Hat said with excitement.

"Wow, that's a lot, thank you for your service; take this reward!" the worker said, impressed.

The worker gave Hat his reward; 2 bags with 10c (Coins) and 2 bags with 20c!

"Yeahh!! money!!!!" Hat said while grabbing the bags.

Hat prepared to run and went to his house at an incredible speed. The town was a bit far, but Hat had no problem with that! He opened the door to his house and left the bag in a mountain of bags of coins. He sure is rich, but Hat prefers to save it.

"Ok, I finished most of the Rogue quests. Too bad I can't do more since I would not leave a single quest, haha!" Hat said while  going to bed.

He sleeps mostly when he doesn't have a lot of quests near his area. Once he wakes up, all of the quests should be up again and ready to be completed.

Hat is one of the best Hunters in his world, though he has competition. There are other Hunters that are also very powerful. Will Hat encounter one of them?
