KARE
Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) formerly Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering was established in 1984 by the pioneering Kalasalingam Anandam Ammal Charities.
The Institution has been serving the society for thirty four long years and it caters to the needs of the students from all walks of the society.
KARE offers UG programmes, PG programmes and Ph.D programmes.
The Institution has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A ++’ in 2024.
Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education was ranked 36 among engineering colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024.
IUCEE
Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) was conceptualized by over 150 leaders of engineering education and businesses from the US and India in 2007.
The name was modified in 2016 from Indo US Collaboration for Engineering Education to reflect the more global nature of the collaborations.
IUCEE realized that sustainability of the mission of IUCEE requires an ecosystem for transformation with a focus on faculty development, student development, curriculum development, as well as improved teaching technologies & engineering education research.
Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) became an IUCEE Consortium Member in the year 2018.
IUCEE KARE Student Chapter (IKSC) focuses on:
Enhancing the employability skills of each student.
Off the 12 NBA Outcomes, the chapter improvising the collaboration, team management, communication, social and ethical skills of the student.
Inviting Lead Industrial Experts and Alumni to nurture the above skillsets of the student and for acknowledging students about the job environment & challenges.
The chapter supports first-year grads to get on board and overcome their professional insecurities.
The chapter aims to set the platform for the students to gain skill through practice since skill cannot be gained just by knowledge without practice.
