Strategic Plan

The mission of the TRB Committee on Information and Knowledge Management is to advance and disseminate practices that improve the creation, sharing and retention within member transportation organizations.

Specific concerns of interest include: managing workforce transition (due to retirements, downsizing, staff turnover, and staff movement within the organization); overcoming organizational silos; improving information sharing within traditionally non-sharing cultures, managing personal risks of knowledge sharing; making the business case for knowledge management, and effectively applying new information technologies to improve knowledge sharing, collaboration, and communications.
