As someone who has moved between the worlds of academic research, AI-based clinical innovation, and deeptech venture building, I (Kishan, Co-founder and CEO of Neurobit Inc.) designed this course for researchers ready to take their science beyond the lab. “From Lab to Clinical Market” is a short, intensive course for PhD scholars, postdocs, and MS students who are curious about how their research can evolve into usable, scalable solutions in health, biotech, or diagnostics. This course will encompass translating research into impact—identifying real-world health problems, reframing your work as a deployable solution, and evaluating its potential pathways into clinical or commercial environments. This course provides a hands-on training with tools like Google Colab, Replit, Cursor (AI-powered code editor), and Streamlit for prototyping ideas. It will also include training for using cloud platforms like Google Cloud (GCP), AWS, and Azure to scale your research from basic web apps to deployable services in health sector. This course will also explore some open-ended problems drawn from digital health, biosignal analysis (EEG, ECG, HRV), their distribution pathways. It will also delve into deeptech venture creation models, analyzing numerous science-driven companies, with a focus on applications within India’s research ecosystem. Students will work on capstone projects and receive feedback on strengthening its scientific clarity, user relevance, and scalability. (more... )
The field of fiber optics traces its transformation from a 19th century parlor trick to constituting the backbone of our modern internet. Exploration of aspects of nonlinear fiber optical systems and harnessing their capabilities for superior communication and sensing systems is an ongoing research pursuit. This course will delve into the world of nonlinear fiber optics from theoretical and experimental angles supplemented by numerical simulations. (more...)
This four-week course is designed for undergraduate and master's students interested in the world of genomes and DNA. Through engaging lectures and interactive sessions, students will learn how genomes are structured, sequenced, and analyzed. Topics include the Human Genome Project, the Genome India Project, genome assemblies, and tools like the UCSC Genome Browser. (more...)
Quantum error correction (QEC) is a fundamental component in the realization of reliable quantum computation and communication protocols of the future. Due to the fragile nature of quantum states, inevitability of decoherence and operational errors, effective error correction schemes are essential for preserving quantum information over time. This course will develop a basic understanding of QEC, contrasting it with classical error correction. (more...)
This course gets you started with quantum chemical modeling of molecules and materials. It is a practical, hands-on exercise avoiding equations or programming, including several tips/tricks and hacks to speed up production grade simulations. It will cover the basics, including common routines like geometry optimization, transition state calculations, setting up surfaces, catalysis and even a few user specific use-cases. (more...)
Crystal engineering is the understanding of intermolecular interactions to design new ordered solids with desired physical and chemical properties. The best crystal engineer till date is the natural world having learnt to direct the transition from disorder to order via the assembly of chemically simple building blocks into sophisticated materials. This course will explore such engineering feats with pedagogy. (more...)
The study of Lie groups and Lie algebras—mathematical structures that capture notions of symmetry—and their representations, which express these symmetries concretely, has been deeply influenced by developments in physics. One one hand, the theory of compact Lie groups and semisimple Lie algebras was significantly motivated by quantum mechanics. On the other hand, the theory of non-compact Lie groups was driven by the demands of relativity and relativistic quantum mechanics.

This advanced course explores comparative cognition and behavior in companion animals, focusing on the cognitive abilities of dogs and cats. Drawing from experimental research and real-world applications, students will learn to design behavioral studies, analyze data using R/SPSS, and interpret animal responses in the context of environmental and evolutionary influences. With a balance of theory and practice, the course emphasizes translational insights for product development, animal welfare, and scientific communication. (more...)
LabVIEW is a graphical programming platform used in engineering and scientific applications. It is a powerful tool for real time data visualization through custom made virtual instruments. This is an introductory course on LabVIEW programming. In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of virtual instrumentation, core programming structures, data handling, modular design, signal processing, and file I/O operations. No prior programming experience is required, making it ideal for beginners in instrument development, automation, data acquisition, and control systems.(more...)
