IIUM Gamelan Gema Gangsa is one of the well established clubs under CiTRA. This association is renowned for its active participation, involved in many shows, concerts and cultural programes. The trainer who played a significant role is Mr. Ku Zahir from Istana Budaya. IIUM Gamelan Gema Gangsa resonates with its ensemble of instruments; keromong or bonang, saron barong, saron peking, demong, slenthem, gong, gambang, kenong & gendang which produce a very unique and soothing melody. IIUM Gamelan Gema Gangsa plays the Gamelan Terengganu a.k.a Gamelan Tradisional and also the interesting Gamelan Jawa. IIUM Gamelan Gema Gangsa is also among the few in Malaysia that has in possession the rare Gamelan Chromatic Set.
