This page is for our small project for Ramadhan, One Day One Quote. In conjunction with the Month of Ramadhan al-Mubarak 1441H, we would like to share with you some quotes based on the Quran and the Hadith of Rasulullah S.A.W daily throughout the month.
Today's quote is based from this hadith:
Abu Hurairah reported: Rasulullah S.A.W said:
"When there comes the month of Ramadan, the gates of mercy are opened, and the gates of Hell are locked and devils are chained"
Sahih Bukhari and Muslim (2361)
From this hadith, we could see that Allah S.W.T has assigned a whole month (Ramadhan) for His servant to increase their 'amal and ask for forgiveness for the past wrongdoings without the fear of being influenced by the devils. So, grab this chance to improve ourselves and gain more blessings from the Almighty.
Today's quote is based from this verse:
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth
Surah 'Ali Imran, Verse 133
From this verse, we could see that Allah S.W.T has told us to always seek for His forgiveness and continue to commit any form of 'amal to improve our faith and taqwa. Allah S.W.T also guaranteed that whoever that have taqwa in him or herself, will be rewarded with a reward which the amount is indescribable. So, grab the chance in this holy month to seek forgiveness from the Almighty and spend more time doing good deeds.
Today's quote is based on this hadith:
Narrated from Anas bin Malik R.A: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Take Suhur as there is a blessing in it."
Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 1923
From this hadith, we could see that Rasulullah S.A.W encourage us to take the suhur. From a scientific perspective, it is crucial because suhur do provides us the energy needed to survive the whole day of fasting. So, always remember to take you suhur throughout this month. It doesn't have to be always plenty, even several pieces of dates and a glass of water is sufficient in order to keep us energetic and active.
Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!
In conjunction with the Month of Ramadhan al-Mubarak 1441 H, we would like to share with you some quotes based on the Quran and the Hadith of Rasulullah S.A.W daily throughout the month.
Today's quote is based on this hadith
Zaid ibn Khalid reported that: The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then he will have the same reward as him (the fasting person), without decreasing anything from the reward of the fasting person."
Sunan Al-Tirmidhi 807
From this hadith, we could see that how great is to feed a hungry person, however, it is greater to feed a fasting person. It is not necessarily to feed a poor fasting person, as the Prophet indicated the plentiful reward of this sunnah regardless of the state of the fasting person. Few ringgits you spend to feed a fasting person would keep your face from hell-fire at the distance of seventy years.
Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!
In conjunction with the Month of Ramadhan al-Mubarak 1441 H, we would like to share with you some quotes based on the Quran and the Hadith of Rasulullah S.A.W daily throughout the month.
Today's quote is based on this hadith:
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Allah Almighty said: The most beloved among my servants are those who are quickest to break their fast.
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 700,
Grade: Sahih
From this verse/hadith, we could see that Allah S.W.T loves whom that hasten the time to break the fast, as soon as the time approaches. Another reason why we need to do so is to differentiate us with the Jews which tends to delay their iftar time. So, always try to fasten your iftar time when the sunset approaches. But remember, don't be too early by breaking your fast before the time or your fasting act throughout the day wouldn't be counted.
Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!
In conjunction with the Month of Ramadhan al-Mubarak 1441 H, we would like to share with you some quotes based on the Quran and the Hadith of Rasulullah S.A.W daily throughout the month.
Today's quote is based on this verse:
But those who have believed and emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided – it is they who are the believers, truly. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.
Surah Al-Anfal verse 74
From this verse, we could see that after Allah affirmed the ruling of loyalty and protection between the believers in this life, He then mentioned their destination in the Hereafter. Allah also affirmed the faith of the believers and that He will reward them with forgiveness and by erasing their sins, if they have any.
Today's quote is based on this hadith:
Abdullah bin Khubaib R.A reported: The Messenger saw said to me, "Recite Surah al-Ikhlas and al-Mu'awwidhatain (Surah al-Falaq and Surah al-Nas) three times at dawn and dusk. It will suffice you in all respects.
[Abu Dawud and al-Tarmizi]
From this hadith, we could see that Rasulullah S.A.W told us to recite the last three surahs in the Quran (3 Qul) thrice for every morning (after Subh) and evening (on Maghrib). By practicing this, our life will be sufficient in all kinds of aspects. It includes being protected from any form of harm and blessed with a perfect state of health.
Today's quote is based on this hadith:
Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: Fast is a shield ; when one of you is fasting, he should neither behave in an obscene manner nor foolishly. If a man fights or abuses him, he should say: I am fasting, I am fasting.
Sunan Abi Dawud 2363
From this hadith, we could see that whoever is fasting, he/she should control their anger and should not talk in a disrespectful behaviour as it will decrease your fasting rewards.
Today's quote is based on this Islamic quote:
“When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, remember that Allah has given you a thousand reasons to smile”
From this quote, we could see that everything that encounters in our life have it own reason. Sometimes, we always concerned about the negative side of a situation until we forget to see the positivity of it. There's always a good reason why Allah S.W.T choose us to experience that situation. So, whenever you feel that life is being unfair to you, take a moment to calm down and reflect on what's going on and think of the reasoning behind it. In Sha Allah, you'll become more harmonious and happier.
Today's quote is based on this hadith
The Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: If anyone fasts during Ramadan because of faith and in order to seek his reward from Allah, his previous sins will be forgiven to him. If anyone prays in the night of the power (lailat al-qadr) because of faith and in order to seek his reward from Allah his previous sins will be forgiven for him.
Sunan Abi Dawud 1372
From this hadith, we could see that Ramadan is the month of forgiveness, our previous sins will be forgiven by Allah, if we continue to pray to Allah and if we’re lucky enough we get to experience the night of power.
Today's quote is based on this verse/hadith
"Verily, those who give Sadaqat, men and women, and lend Allah handsome loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and theirs shall be an honorable good reward."
Surah Al-Hadid, verse 18
From this verse/hadith, we could see that we are encouraged by Allah S.W.T to give sadaqah to those who in need. Don't be afraid that your wealth will be decreased when you give something, In Sha Allah, your good deed will be paid, sometimes even more than you gave. Plus, in this blessed month, Allah S.W.T guaranteed to give us more rewards when doing good practice, one of them includes sadaqah. So, let's improve ourselves by giving sadaqah to others.
Today's quote is based on this verse
For each [religious following] is a direction toward which it faces. So race to [all that is] good. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you forth [for judgement] all together. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
Surah Al-Baqarah verse 148
From this verse, we could see anyone who prays will have to turn his face in some direction. But what is of real significance is not the turning of one's face in some specific direction but one's orientation to righteousness for the sake of which one performs the ritual Prayer.
Today's quote is based on this verse/hadith
Anas bin Malik Al-Ansari R.A the servant of the Messenger of Allah narrated:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Verily, Allah is more delighted with the repentance of His slave than a person who lost his camel in a desert land and then finds it (unexpectedly)".
From this verse/hadith, we could see that Allah S.W.T loves when His servant repented to Him whenever the wrongdoings have been done. Don't be afraid to ask forgiveness from Allah S.W.T even though you'd so many sins in the past, In Sha Allah, all of it will be forgiven by The Almighty. Plus, in the month of Ramadhan, the repentance path widely open for us, so this is the great time to purify ourselves from the sins.
Today's quote is based on this verse:
“Those who spend in prosperity and in adversity, who suppress anger and *forgive* *other*, verily, Allah loves those who do good”
Surah Ali ‘Imran verse 134
From this verse, we could see that life is too short to be holding on to your history. By not forgiving and letting go of your past, you’re not hurting the people you have a grudge against, but you’re only causing more pain to yourself. Therefore move forward in the name of Allah. Believe in His promises, and expect the best from yourself at all times.
Today's quote is based on this verse/hadith
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Allah, the Majestic and the Exalted, said: Every act of the son of Adam is for him except fasting. It is done for My sake, and I will give a reward for it. By Allah in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the breath of the observer of fast is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk.
Sahih Muslim: 1151
From this verse/hadith, we could see that fasting is one of the act of a Muslim to worship Allah S.W.T. Other than that, in scientific perspective, fasting also brings benefit towards your health and psychological state. So, in this holy month don't feel that fasting is some sort of burden, instead take this as a way to improve ourselves.
