The first technical event conducted by the students of the BS in ES program in IIT Madras was held at Paradox'24.
The event was RoboSoccer'24 and it involved a month long free workshop in May 2024 where all the registrants participated in learning to build their four wheeled robots and then coded them using base open-source software which Team RoboSoccer had put up on Github.
The eliminations and playoffs were conducted on 29th and 30th May 2024 and we had many participants who brought in their robots and the event was an instant hit. The main highlight for the event was our chief mentor from day one, Dr.Janakiraman Viraraghavan from the Electrical Engineering Department of IIT Madras who added a touch of fun by dressing up as the referee for the event.
The very first project in IITM-DIY is the RoboSoccer'24 robot that made the event a hit. And the core team behind IITM-DIY is the same one, along with the many more talented volunteers whose efforts will keep IITM-DIY innovating into the future.
Do you have a talent that will take the IITM-DIY team to the next level? Do you want to see yourself listed above ?
