Department of Mathematics of IIT Jodhpur is celebrating the 135th birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan, one of the most brilliant mathematicians from India, by organizing a one-day symposium on December 22nd, 2022. The symposium is aimed at bringing the top number theorists and young scholars to discuss some of the mathematical ingenuity of Srinivasa Ramanujan and its impact on current mathematical research areas. We cordially invite interested students and faculty to attend the symposium at IIT Jodhpur (offline) to interact with the experts and gain valuable knowledge about the work of Srinivasa Ramanujan and current research in number theory. The major parts of the lectures will be introductory in nature and will focus on Ramanujan's contribution and some applications of number theory.
