IISER Pune
Objective
This program is meant for a student with a bachelor's degree (BSc or BS) in mathematics. Our programme offers a blend of courses in algebra, analysis, topology, discrete mathematics, probability and statistics with a computational approach in mind. The programme introduces computational techniques using programming languages such as Python, SageMath, and other software. One of the highlights of the programme is lab courses in all semesters, where students are encouraged to implement various mathematical topics, including pure math topics, in Python or Sagemath. Students will gain fundamental skills in programming, computation, and data science while learning core mathematics subjects.
