Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali is one of the seven IISERs established by the Government of India with the mission of promoting high-quality education and cutting-edge research in the pure sciences. Since its inception around 2007, IISER Mohali has grown into a vibrant academic centre, graduating several cohorts of BS–MS students along with a substantial number of PhD scholars. Located in Sector 81, Mohali (Chandigarh region), the institute comprises six active departments—Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, and the Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS). The HSS department strengthens the institute’s interdisciplinary ethos through courses in philosophy, literature, history and philosophy of science, sociology, and economics, offering students broader academic perspectives alongside their scientific training. IISER Mohali fosters a dynamic research environment and serves as an ideal venue for national and international conferences.
