When a case is being reported, ensure that you give accurate information on the animal and the nature of injury. A photo or a video would be highly helpful.
Since IISc is a large campus, please watch over the animal that requires your help. This goes a long way in coordinating with people when they arrive on campus.
Please do NOT handle wild animals such as snakes or monkeys directly without professional help!
We would appreciate if you can email us at iisc.animal.welfare@gmail.com with an update on the animal. This will help us to keep track of the case and the help taken.

SOP for Pigeon care
Please place the pigeon in any cardboard box. Puncture few holes for breathing ventilation. If possible, please spread few layers of old clothes for cushioning.
Book a vehicle to the location from any service providers (OLA/UBER/Swiggy/Dunzo/WeFast/Any other service providers, charge to be borne by reporting person). Request driver to hand it over to location carefully
Open from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM on all days. Please place the pigeon securely in a cardboard box overnight in case of rescue after 6PM and send it to them the next day morning.
Note: The pigeon will never eat/drink from dusk to dawn. After sunrise you can feed with raw wheat / jowar / ragi / fried gram / green gram and place some water. Do not force feed any pigeon as it may choke.
