On October 11th 2024, start-up wing of Institution's Innovation Council, SDIET, hosted an engaging session titled "From Idea to Impact: Building Your Start-up”. The session was attended by B.Tech, BCA & BBA students. The lecture aimed to provide valuable insights on the process of building a successful startup, from the inception of an idea to making a tangible impact in the market. The speaker for this session was Mr. Arpan Garg founder of “Commudle” with over 7 years of rich experience in the corporate & startup ecosystem.
The primary goal of the guest lecture was to help students and budding entrepreneurs understand the key stages in building a startup and the strategies needed to transform an innovative idea into a successful, scalable business that can make a significant impact in its respective industry.

Understanding the Startup Ecosystem
Mr. Garg began by giving an overview of the global startup ecosystem. He highlighted some of the latest trends in entrepreneurship, such as the rise of sustainable startups and digital transformation.
From Idea to Concept
One of the first steps in creating a successful startup is having a unique and actionable idea. Mr. Garg discussed the importance of identifying problems worth solving and how to use ideation techniques like brainstorming and design thinking to refine and validate ideas.

The students asked insightful questions about various aspects of building a startup, including dealing with failure, finding investors, and managing work-life balance as an entrepreneur. Mr. Verma answered these questions with real-life examples.
