Arriving in Genoa
By Air
The main gateway to the city is Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA), located just a few kilometres from the centre of Genoa. It serves as a practical arrival point for the event, offering regular flights from both domestic Italian cities and major European destinations. Current direct destinations include Rome, Amsterdam, London, Barcelona, Paris, Munich, Naples, Catania, Tirana, and Warsaw, among others.
How to Reach the City Center from the Airport
Taxi: Taxis are available outside the arrivals area. Estimated fare: around €25 per ride.
Volabus: Direct bus service between Genoa Airport and the city center (Piazza Principe and Brignole stations). Ticket: €10.
Airlink (Bus + Train): Shuttle bus every 15 minutes from 06:00 to 22:00 to Sestri Ponente Aeroporto railway station. From there, take a regional train to Genova Piazza Principe or Genova Brignole. Tickets: €2.00 (bus only) or €2.20 (bus + train).
By Train
Genoa has two main railway stations: Genova Piazza Principe (close to the historic center) and Genova Brignole (near the eastern part of the city). Both stations are connected with major Italian cities such as Milan, Turin, Rome, Florence and Venice, as well as with regional destinations along the Ligurian coast. By Bus
Long-distance buses arrive at Genoa Piazza Principe bus terminal and Genoa Brignole.
Regular services connect Genoa with other Italian cities and some European destinations through operators such as FlixBus and Itabus.
