Immune Cell & Gene Therapy Lab (IGT) is dedicated to developing next-generation immunotherapies with strong potential for real-world clinical translation, including treatments for cancer and age-related diseases. We pursue research that bridges fundamental immune engineering with practical therapeutic development.

IGT site용_cell imaging.mp4Our work expands beyond conventional T-cell approaches to include NK cells and γδ T cells, with a major focus on establishing robust and scalable culture platforms that enable these immune cells to be used as effective therapeutics. To endow immune cells with enhanced and specialized functions, we develop engineering technologies such as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) systems and design strategies that combine ex vivo and in vivo gene editing for precision immunotherapy.
To deeply understand and optimize immune cell performance, we integrate advanced analytical workflows—ranging from high-dimensional FACS-based immunophenotyping to live-cell imaging that captures dynamic interactions between immune cells and their target cells in real time.
