Dinner

The Thursday evening dinner will be held at Norrlands Student nation (http://www.norrlandsnation.se/).

One of the things that most students remember of Uppsala University when they graduate is the nations. The nations are student associations were established in the early 17^th century when the University was reformed to become a school for civil servants, and student numbers increased. The sometimes unruly behavior of students of that times, brought a need for an organization that controlled the manners, and the student nations were formed. The nations was organized following the Swedish provinces where students from the particular region gathered under the firm hand of an inspector. This is similar to other universities worldwide born at the same era. Today the activities covers the different aspects of social and study needs of the students as well as study counselling and housing.

The dinner will cost 150 SEK (~15 EUR). In addition you can add a wine package to the dinner for 150 SEK (~15 EUR). Non-alcoholic drinks are included in the dinner fee. There will also be a bar at the nation where you can buy other choices of drinks.
