I am using Google Maps for a website in india. Everything is good except one issue, there is border issue between india and pakistan. and google has resolved it(from map point of view) by using different domain names.

So on maps.google.co.uk it shows the problematic area(North West part) with a dotted line(in Jammu and kashmir)but inmaps.google.co.in it doesn't shows the problematic area with a dotted line(in Jammu and kashmir) to keep indian government happy.

It was set up in 1767 and has evolved rich traditions over the years. In its assigned role as the nation's Principal Mapping Agency, Survey of India bears a special responsibility to ensure that the country's domain is explored and mapped suitably, provide base maps for expeditious and integrated development and ensure that all resources contribute with their full measure to the progress, prosperity and security of our country now and for generations to come.

Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease of public health importance in India. A country-level evidence gap map was developed to identify gaps on epidemiology of leptospirosis. It is the first such on leptospirosis globally and on any single disease condition in India. The steps for development of evidence gap map were development of a framework to map evidence, retrieval of evidence, data extraction parameters and mapping of available evidence in evidence gap map framework. The prevalence evidence gap map consisted of 157 studies (102 in humans, 55 in animals, and 12 in both). The evidence gap map on risk factors had 120 studies (102 in humans, 11 in animals and 7 in both). There were inter-state differences in availability of research and disparity between animal and human research. Research on high-risk groups was limited and studies did not use the One Health approach to identify epidemiology, which can help understand the issue more comprehensively. The study demonstrates the potential of evidence gap maps to inform research priorities.

The historical cartography of India charts a progressive quest for the accurate physical depiction of the Subcontinent and its various regions. However, this journey was not linear, it was channeled by the particular priorities, limitations, experiences and cultural biases of the mapmakers, who were not native to India. Many maps fundamentally reflect a European view of India, and not necessarily India as it truly existed. This section includes maps and views printed in seven foreign countries, as well as several manuscript works prepared by Europeans resident in India.

That being said, many of the maps made by Europeans heavily relied on the knowledge and support offered by Indians making this cartography a sophisticated and, in some instances, enlightened medium of cultural exchange. The maps showcased, which range in date from 1511 to 1822, each speak to broader themes.

While the Portuguese interests in India were largely confined to the coastal areas, many foreign powers were fascinated by the Mughal Empire. A fabulously wealthy state, it was based in Northern India and had been steadily growing, due to conquests, since its founding in 1526. Interestingly, many of the early maps of the Mughal Empire were based on extraordinary cross-cultural interactions.

Featured here are the western two-thirds of the Indian Subcontinent, extending about as far east as modern day Odisha and Bihar. Camocio based his map on unspecified, but fairly advanced Portuguese sources, as the overall shape of the Indian Peninsula is a marked improvement upon other contemporary maps.
