it all begins with a little curiosity.

Ask questions. Research. Innovate. Make a difference.

I completed my Ph.D. in Communication at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California. I have accepted an appointment as an inaugural Mancosh Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Communication at Northwestern University that will begin in Fall 2021.

As a communication scientist, my research specializes in AI@Work, or human-AI interaction. My current research explores the cognitive + social processes that impact expertise and decision-making when humans work alongside and with smart technologies and algorithms.

I merge perspectives from human-AI interaction, communication, and management to understand how to design automation technology that promotes equity, performance, and innovation. I am a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellow, which has allowed my current research to be funded by the NSF.

My work has been published in various international journals and I frequently present my latest thinking at academic and professional meetings.
