Researcher & Ph.D. Student, University of Southern California
Ignacio Cruz is a researcher and Ph.D. student at the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California.
Ignacio’s current line of research examines the implementation and evaluation of new, emerging technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence systems and wearables) on workplace dynamics like innovation, creativity, and team performance. A subset of his research interests include creating effective strategies for talent acquisition and cybervetting practices. Driven by data and theory, Ignacio relies on both quantitative (not limited to experimental, survey, social network analysis, big data informatics) and qualitative (focus groups, interviews, ethnography) techniques to execute rigorous, empirical projects that transform complex data into valuable knowledge and wisdom.
Recognized as a Graduate Research Fellow, his research is generously funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
