Researcher & PhD Candidate, University of Southern California
Ignacio Cruz is a researcher, assistant lecturer and PhD Candidate at the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California.
Ignacio’s current line of research investigates the adoption and evaluation of artificial intelligent (AI) technologies within the workplace. He merges perspectives from human-computer interaction, organizational communication, and social psychology to understand how technology can redefine dynamics like performance, use and adoption, and creativity within and across organizations. A subset of his research interests include creating effective strategies for talent acquisition and cybervetting practices. Driven by data and theory, Ignacio relies on both quantitative (not limited to experimental, survey, social network analysis, big data informatics) and qualitative (focus groups, interviews, ethnography) techniques to execute rigorous, empirical projects that transform complex data into valuable knowledge and wisdom.
Recognized as a Graduate Research Fellow, his research is generously funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
