We are an abolitionist collective of UCLA public health, psychology, social welfare, medical, and anthropology students, alumni, and community members organizing to advance health equity and racial justice.
Rooted in abolishing the prison industrial complex, we strive to imagine how we can work to build safe and healthy communities that do not depend on prisons and punishment.
We focus on Harm Reduction - which means ensuring people have their basic needs met. Safe and healthy communities have housing, food, education, healthcare, and jobs.
Safety and abolition is an investment in efforts to address the social determinants and root systemic causes of health disparities.
