iFileSync - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how iFileSync ("we", "our", or "the app") handles
user information when you use our services. We are committed to minimizing data
collection and protecting your privacy.
Overview
iFileSync enables users to transfer and synchronize files between their device
and their personal cloud storage account. We do not collect, access, or store
your personal files, your cloud login credentials, or your payment card details.
Information We Collect
We collect only the limited information required to operate and improve the app.
1. User-Provided Information
· Name and email address - only if you voluntarily provide them for support or
communication.
2. Automatically Collected Information
· App usage data (e.g., feature usage and interaction data).
· Device and diagnostic data (e.g., crash logs and performance metrics).
· Advertising ID - collected by our analytics provider (Google) to understand
app usage and measure performance.
· A pseudonymous app-instance / installation identifier used by our analytics
and crash-reporting tools.
· Purchase and subscription information (e.g., your Google Play purchase token),
used solely to verify and maintain your subscription.
We do not collect, access, or store your personal files.
Cloud Account Connection
To enable file synchronization:
· You authenticate directly with your cloud storage provider.
· We do not collect or store your login credentials (such as usernames or
passwords). Your password is verified directly with your cloud provider and is
never stored by us.
· Two-factor authentication (where required) is handled by your cloud provider.
· A secure, encrypted session token may be stored locally on your device to keep
you signed in. This token is encrypted using your device's secure storage,
is used only to enable app functionality, is never shared with us or third
parties, and can be removed at any time by signing out or uninstalling the app.
How We Use InformationWe use collected data to:
· Provide core app functionality (file transfer and synchronization).
· Improve performance and reliability.
· Monitor and fix errors.
· Verify and maintain subscriptions.
· Protect against misuse and unauthorized access.
Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own
privacy policy:
· Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) - collects app usage data,
diagnostic/crash data, the advertising ID, and a pseudonymous app-instance
identifier.
· Google Play Billing - processes subscription purchases.
· Apple iCloud - provides authentication and the cloud storage you choose to
sync to (your own account). Files are transferred directly between your device
and your iCloud account.
· Amazon Web Services (AWS) - hosts our subscription-verification service.
These providers process information in accordance with their own privacy
policies.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share limited information only:
· With the service providers listed above that support app functionality
(e.g., analytics, billing, and hosting).
· When required by law or valid legal process.
Data Storage and Security
· Sensitive data (such as your session token) is encrypted and stored securely
on your device.
· We do not store your cloud credentials or your files on our servers.
· We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect data.
Payments
Subscription payments are processed securely via Google Play Billing. We do not
store or process your payment card information. To verify and maintain your
subscription, a purchase token is sent to our subscription-verification service.
International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside your country of residence(for example, our analytics provider operates globally and our
subscription-verification service is hosted in the European Union region). Where
applicable, these transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards.
Data Retention
We retain automatically collected analytics and diagnostic data only as long as
necessary for the purposes described in this policy, after which it is deleted or
anonymized. Locally stored data (such as your session token) remains on your
device until you sign out or uninstall the app.
Your Rights
Depending on your location (including under the GDPR and South Africa's POPIA),
you may have the right to:
· Request access to your personal data.
· Request correction of inaccurate data.
· Request deletion of your data.
· Object to or restrict certain processing.

Children's Privacy
iFileSync is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent
minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal
information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon a
verified request, any associated data we hold will be permanently deleted. You
can also remove all locally stored data at any time by signing out or
uninstalling the app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be
communicated within the app or via official channels, and the "Last updated"
date above will be revised.
