Yu-Chieh Chiang

Biography

After earning my Ph.D. in Money and Banking from National Chengchi University under Mi-Hsiu Chiang, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Academia Sinica’s Institute of Economics with Yu-Chin Hsu. I am currently an associate professor in the Department of Information Management at National Central University.

My prior industry experience at Hontai Life Insurance and Yuanta Bank, where I worked in risk management, derivatives pricing, and product development, fueled my passion for academia. This led me to pursue research and teaching, with a focus on asset pricing, behavioral finance, AI and machine learning, and portfolio formation using historical financial data.

Beyond research, I am driven by a commitment to academic growth and teaching. I value communication, leadership, and a wide range of interests, and see academia as my lifelong career path.
