Our event will give international exchange program alumni the stage on which to tell the story of how their experience changed their personal and professional lives. Through TEDx style talks, our speakers will explain exactly what we mean when we say that these programs benefit you, empower you, and change you. We hope that you will join us as we embark on what will surely be a great adventure.
IExChange will showcase a wide variety of alumni speakers from many different disciplines and career paths, each one ready to share the story of how their exchange program participation played a pivotal role in realizing their own professional goals. Our speakers will elaborate, through concrete examples and anecdotes, on how their own participation in international exchange programs empowered and enabled them to achieve their personal and professional ambitions at home and abroad.
Break-out sessions featuring career professionals will advise attendees on how to best demonstrate and showcase their skills and talents. Organized workshops will help educate attendees on successful application writing techniques for the aforementioned exchanged programs and other internationally focused programs. Information sessions will provide attendees with exclusive access to professional development opportunities, such as international internships, programmatic partnerships, and continuing career positions. It is our ultimate goal that this event be an occasion that initiates dialogues across various demographics, inspires future collaborations, and fortifies the common bonds that all alumni share as citizen diplomats.
The pool of applicants who apply to international education exchange programs is far more diverse than the pool of successful recipients, meaning that application writing resources are not being equitably distributed across ethnic, racial, and gender demographics. In order to help empower students from all backgrounds to succeed in their applications to exchange programs and initiatives, our conference will be broadcast to over 100 institutions of higher education across the nation. By significantly expanding the number of students who are aware, interested, and adequately resourced to apply to these programs, we aim to make the number of diverse grantees participating in international exchange programs more representative of the nation as a whole.
