Surgical Specialty Centers focus on surgical cases that can be scheduled within a few days including elective surgeries, non-emergency trauma cases, oncology related, and non-emergency neurologic cases. Out of all the surgical cases, over 85% are non-emergency and can be safely and efficiently performed in 1-5 days after the initial diagnosis.

Three years ago the first Regional Veterinary Surgical Center opened up in Bakersfield California (BRVSS) with the help of local veterinary partners. Now the second Southern California Location will open its doors on December 1, 2021. Others are now growing across the country.

About Dr. B
About Dr. B
"Dr. B." is a board certified veterinary surgical specialist practicing in Southern California with a special interest in orthopedic surgery and vast experience in soft tissue and spinal surgeries.
Most notably, he's significantly contributed to the development of advanced orthopedic implants and the treatment of knee injuries through innovations in technology. He has become an internationally respected consultant for the local and distant veterinary community through lectures and in-person consultations. He has been serving Bakersfield pet owners for over 15 years and will now continue to do so from a brand new conveniently located specialty surgical facility.

About Dr. Miller
About Dr. Miller
Dr. Angel Miller enjoys all aspects of surgery but has a special interest in orthopedics, fracture repair, cruciate ligament rupture repair, reconstructive surgery and various soft tissue surgeries including surgical oncology.
Dr. Miller was a team member in a large VCA specialty hospital for four years. She received her undergraduate degree and doctorate of veterinary medicine from the Ohio State University. She did her rotating internship at SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center in Virginia. She completed her surgical internship at Animal Specialty & Emergency Center in Santa Monica California and then finished her surgical residency at VCA West Coast Specialty & Emergency Animal Hospital in Fountain Valley California. She has been dedicated to surgery for over 10 years. She now enjoys spending time with her 2 yorkies, working out and riding her motorcycle.
