One of the most valuable experiences a student can have is to collaborate with peers, worldwide, on pressing environmental issues.
The International Earth Science Symposium (IESS) is an opportunity for students from around the world to collaborate on researching important, environmental issues. Global environmental problems cannot be solved by a single individual. Instead, scientists with diverse cultural and academic backgrounds need to come together to more efficiently and effectively develop solutions. This project will conclude with student groups preparing written reports of their research and giving presentations about their research methods and conclusions.
Currently, we have students from 7 countries: Australia, Czech Republic, Germany, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, USA
Disclaimer: The IESS is not affiliated in any way with the International Earth Science Olympiad and International Geoscience Education Organization. This event is unofficially organized and is primarily student-run.
