Call for Conference Proposals
Submission Instructions
Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for the 8th Annual West Coast SI Conference. Please review the proposal criteria below and submit following the instructions at bottom of this page.
Proposal Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on their relevance to current issues in Supplemental Instruction and Tutoring in a collegiate environment. Presentations should focus on empowering and equipping conference participants around best practices in peer-led academic support— providing and/or exploring tools, resources, and creative problem solving for issues facing peer and program leadership.
Eligibility for Submission*
Any individual involved in peer-led academic support— Supplemental Instruction Leaders, Tutors, Faculty, and Administrative Staff are invited to submit proposals.

Format Options
Synchronous Workshop (Conducted via Zoom)
This real-time (Online) format focuses on a discussion of current issues in Supplemental Instruction or Tutoring. Presentations may be based on current research, best practices, may be developmental, or even theoretical. Topics should be of community interest using innovative, thought-provoking content and may interactive. All breakout sessions will be 50 minutes long.
Asynchronous Poster or User-Navigated Slide Presentation
This on-demand (Online) format provides an opportunity to share research, best practices, and ideas as well as methodologies and outcomes from Supplemental Instruction or Tutoring experience via an Adobe PDF poster or a user-navigated slide presentation focused on effective strategies, best practices, research findings, or technical solutions. All asynchronous presentations must meet minimum ADA standards.
