Chair:

Emre Sariyildiz

University of Wollongong, Australia

Emre Sariyildiz (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degrees in Integrated Design Engineering from Keio University, Tokyo, Japan, in September 2014 and in Control and Automation Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, in February 2016. He was a postdoctoral research fellow in the department of Biomedical Engineering and Singapore Institute for Neurotechnology (SINAPSE) at National University of Singapore, Singapore, between 2014 and 2017. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with the School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering at University of Wollongong, NSW, Australia. His main research interests are motion control, mechatronics, robotics and control theory.

Kiyoshi Ohishi

Nagaoka University of Technology , Japan

Kiyoshi Ohishi (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan, in 1981, 1983, and 1986, respectively. Since 1993, he has been with the Nagaoka University of Technology, Niigata, Japan. He became Professor in 2003 and has been currently a Vice President since 2015 with Nagaoka University of Technology. His research interests include motion control, mechatronics, robotics, and power electronics. Dr. Ohishi was the recipient of “IEEJ Distinguished Paper Award” from IEEJ in 2002 and 2009, respectively. From 2004, he has been an AdCom Member of IEEE Industrial Electronic Society (IES) and he is a Vice President of Workshops and Activities from 2019 to 2020.

Naoki Motoi

Kobe University, Japan

Naoki Motoi (Member, IEEE) received the B.E. degree in system design engineering and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in integrated design engineering from Keio University, Japan, in 2005, 2007 and 2010, respectively. In 2007, he joined the Partner Robot Div., Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan. From 2011 to 2013, he was a research associate at Yokohama National University. Since 2014, he has been with Kobe University, Japan, where he is a currently Associate Professor. His research interests include robotics, and motion control.

Seiichiro Katsura

Keio University, Japan

Seiichiro Katsura (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.E. degree in system design engineering and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in integrated design engineering from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan, in 2001, 2002, and 2004, respectively. From 2003 to 2005, he was a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), Tokyo, Japan. From 2005 to 2008, he was with the Nagaoka University of Technology, Nagaoka, Japan. Since 2008, he has been at Keio University, Yokohama, Japan. He is currently a Professor. In 2017, he was a Visiting Researcher with the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL), RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany. His research interests include applied abstraction, human support, data robotics, wave system, systems energy conversion, and electromechanical integration systems.
