The Indo-European Research Colloquium (IERC), a staple happening in the field of Indo-European linguistics and organized annually under the auspices of the Indogermanische Gesellschaft, is the event par excellence of, by, and for early-career scholars, in particular PhDs and postdocs, working on anything Indo-European. The colloquium aims to offer them a podium in a welcoming and stimulating environment to present their research to an audience of peers.
The upcoming 11th installment of the IERC will be hosted by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań on May 15–16, 2027. With a relatively recent Indo-Europeanist history and an ideal central location, Poznań makes for a fresh and lively venue for early-career scholars to connect and exchange ideas with colleagues.
The 2027 IERC will be an exclusively in-person event consisting of three days of presentations. Each speaker is allotted 30 minutes, including a 20-minute presentation and a 10-minute discussion session. Presentations are to be delivered in English.
