Smart Manufacturing Spearheading a 2-trilliondollar Industry by 2025

Taiwan’s machinery industry is set to hit the threshold of 2 trillion Taiwan dollars by 2025, according to the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, and the key to this transformation of traditional industry is smart manufacturing. In particular, smart manufacturing combining AIoT and robotics will lead the next wave of industrial development. According to the 2021 industrial robot development forecast by Freedonia, the demand for industrial robots in Asia, Europe, North America, and emerging countries will exceed that of 2011 by 80%, while the demand for service-type robots (including hospitals, public places, etc.) will be four times higher than that of industrial robots.

Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), MOEA

The Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), R.O.C. is responsible for implementing policies and regulations governing foreign trade and economic cooperation. Established in January 1969, BOFT's role and position have been adapted regularly to meet the needs of the ever-changing international economic and trade environments. Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is Taiwan’s foremost non-profit, quasi-governmental trade promotion organization. Founded in 1970 to help promote foreign trade, TAITRA is jointly sponsored by the government, industry associations, and several commercial organizations and serves to assist Taiwanese businesses and manufacturers in strengthening their international competitiveness and dealing with foreign markets challenges. TAITRA boasts a well-coordinated trade promotion and information network of over 1,200 international marketing specialists stationed throughout its Taipei headquarters and 50 overseas offices worldwide.
