QUARTERLY REPORT

April 2022 - June 2022

IEEE Mysore Subsection is one among the 3 subsections of the IEEE Bangalore Section. The Aim of the IEEE Mysore subsection is to conduct various student and professional activities like student internships, invited talks, workshops, and the Flagship conferences. The IEEE Mysore subsection consists of Mysore, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, and Kodagu districts. Mysore subsection has 26 Engineering Colleges with 14 IEEE Student Branches and more than 1000 IEEE members.

One of the first events of April was Conference Organizers Education Workshop, 2022, conducted on 10th April 2022 from 9 AM to 5 PM with 150+ participants. IEEE Bangalore Section, IEEE Mysore Subsection, IEEE North Karnataka Subsection, and IEEE Mangalore Subsection successfully conducted this workshop in order to help faculty members from various engineering colleges and industries to understand organizing IEEE Conference. Experts from IEEE shared their experiences on various topics.

On 28th May 2022, Prof. V Ramgopal Rao, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Past Director IIT Delhi at Royal INN, Mysuru. Along with it, an IEEE Distinguished Lecture was held on “Generative Adversarial Networks: Theory and Applications” organized by IEEE Mysore Subsection in association with the IEEE Bangalore section. On 29th May 2022, a walk with IEEE Senior Members was conducted.

IEEE Mysuru Subsection has gotten a good response to the events and looks forward to conducting much more events and workshops, including the Flagship Conference and more.
