Event description

We renovated a govt primary school in Agara by painting its gates and the outdoors walls, reparing the water taps And also we made science models and explained about the concepts to the govt school students in local language itself.

Event Details

We first made teams of 5 each and distributed the work. Few teams would do the painting of walls, few would do the gait painting, few were involved in the plumbing work and all of them were involved in science model demonstration.

Event outcomes

Students of the govt school were seemed happy as they got to learn about so many topics in a fun way.

The workshop which had a uniform blend of theory as well as hands on, they started with interfacing sensors to Arduino uno went on till using ESP8266 to connect to cloud using think speak and also encouraged the students to build their own systems. The interfacing to mobile API and developing the package was also demonstrated.

Treasure Hunt

The Treasure Hunt was played in 3 stages. The 1st stage was the flag collection round, in which the 5 different color flags were hidden inside the college.15 teams participated and 10 teams high high score were selected. The 2nd stage was the QR code collection round and each team had to collect 5 QR codes which would have riddles about the college places.5 teams were selected and they should search for the final treasure with the help of the clues given to them.

It was a technical/motivational talk by the retired navy officer B Chandrasekaran sir.. he spoke about how we should not restrict ourselves to boundaries and should always think out of the box, and convert our negatives into opportunities. He also explained how a missile works.

Event Details

The event was held for about 3 hours.

The take aways are: should always think outside of the box, to convert our negatives into oppertunities and we have to validate our answers.

Circuit Debugging

Event Details

The event consisted of 3 levels for 2nd,3rd, and 4th-year students. The first stage was a quiz round to select the best 2 teams from all the 3 levels. The second stage had circuits with faults and the first team to debug the circuit and get the output from each level would be selected for the final round. The third stage had a common circuit to debug and the team first to get the output would win. The event had 18 teams from all the 3 levels and the event was conducted for 3 hours
