Event description

The event was a stall that was set up in the college fest for the motive of attracting students and professionals into joining IEEE and explaining to them the benefits of the membership. We conducted a series of technical and non-technical quizzes and games to attract the audience.

Event Details

We had different types of quizzes based on general knowledge and various mind blogging games which left the participants enthusiased and thoroughly energized. There were participants from several domains and fields who had come to visit our stall getting to learn more about IEEE membership and the various resources and opportunities offered by it.

Event outcomes

Much more students and professionals are aware of the various facilities offered by IEEE and the global network it has given students and professionals over the years. It has been a great platform to publish papers and get validation from various scholars across the world. We have expected an increase in student membership in the coming months.

Event description

BMSCE IEEE SB organized a mind bending competition called BackProp which was designed based on the concept of Neural Networks and BackPropagation. It tested the logical, mathematical and reasoning skills of the participants.

Event Details

The event had four rounds where the first two rounds were the simple rounds with the participants solving a set of questions in a specified time limit.The third round incorporated the concept of BackPropagation where the participants were given a brochure and had to solve the questions to get the right answer and the sequence too. If they get it wrong they had to back propagate their way back to the first question in order to get the right sequence.

Event outcomes

Participants were tested in their logical and quick thinking skills along with mathematics and science.

Participants were introduced to the concept of BackPropagation in Neural networks which is an important concept in AI.Participants were exposed to a competitive environment which helped them work under pressure.
