IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group, AIT engaged with Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) on occasion of India's 75th Independence Day, 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.

The speaker of the event was Dr. Amar Banerji who gave an expert talk on DAE's Technology Transfer Process

Event Details

- Dr. Amar Banerji, Head at Technology Transfer & Collaboration Division, BARC gave us an expert talk for the session.

- The main objective of the session was to encourage students and young scientists in the initial years of settling down in their career.

- Sir started off by providing an introduction to DAE Technology, followed by the vision of DAE and then briefed about technical know-how for technologies available for Transfer in various Spectrum of Science

Event outcomes

- The students gained an idea about how DAE has been engaging in the development of nuclear power technology, applications of radiation technologies in the fields of agriculture, medicine, industry and basic research.

- They also activities that are engaged by DAE, various organizations that come under it and schemes & awards received by DAE.
